Start with the way your home feels
Internal wall insulation adds an insulating layer to the inside face of an external wall. It may be an option where a suitable cavity is not available or you want to retain the outside appearance of the property.
Brick and stone properties need a system that suits their construction and moisture behaviour. We assess suitability before recommending materials.
Tell us which rooms feel cold and when. We consider the walls and adjoining areas to help identify where an improvement may be practical.
If you are redecorating or renovating, it can be a good time to discuss insulation, wall finishes and changes to sockets, radiators and skirting.
You do not need to identify the wall type or measure the rooms before enquiring. Start with your postcode and we’ll explain the next step.
Ask us to assess your homeA system chosen for your property
The right approach depends on more than insulation thickness. Wall condition, moisture movement, ventilation and the connections around windows, floors and ceilings all matter.
Insulated boards or a framed system may be suitable in some homes. Traditional buildings may need a different, moisture-compatible approach. Your specification is agreed after assessment.
Tell us before the survey. The cause needs investigating and addressing before insulation is installed. Insulation should not conceal an unresolved problem.
Internal wall insulation cost
A headline price per square metre can miss preparation, fittings and finishing work. We quote for your measured areas and the agreed system, so you can compare the complete scope.
| Rooms and wall areas | Which walls are included, their measured area and any exclusions. |
|---|---|
| Insulation specification | The proposed system, thickness, finish and relevant junction details. |
| Preparation and fittings | Whether removal, repairs, socket or radiator changes and joinery are required and included. |
| Finishing and clear-up | The agreed wall finish, waste removal and any decorating or making good left for you to arrange. |
| Total and programme | The quoted total, applicable VAT, payment terms and expected work duration. |
Specialist investigations, design work or approvals may be needed for some properties. These are discussed separately. Prices for loft insulation elsewhere on this site do not apply to wall insulation.
From first call to finished walls
Share your postcode and the rooms you want to improve. We confirm coverage and discuss a survey time.
We assess suitability and explain the specification, price, room-space impact and preparation required.
If you choose to proceed, we agree dates and the work programme, including access, protection and finishing.
More than one cold area?
A cold bedroom above an integral garage may involve heat loss through the floor as well as the walls. Mention garage ceilings, adjoining unheated spaces or loft insulation when we call, so we can discuss the relevant work together.
Each area needs its own assessment and specification. We’ll make the separate scopes clear.

Before you decide
The cost depends on the wall area, construction, insulation system, preparation and finish. Moving sockets or radiators, repairs, joinery and decorating can also affect the total. Your survey allows us to give you an itemised written quote for your home. Loft insulation prices elsewhere on this website do not apply to internal walls.
It can be an option for suitable solid-walled homes, including some older brick and stone properties. It is fitted to the inside face of an external wall. Wall condition, exposure to rain, moisture movement, ventilation and junctions all need assessment. An older or listed home may need specialist advice before a system is selected.
Yes. The insulation and its finish add thickness to the wall. The amount depends on the selected system and the existing surface. We explain the proposed build-up and its effect on your room, window reveals, skirting boards and fittings before you decide.
Ask us to assess the room you are concerned about. A smaller project may be possible, but the design needs to consider adjoining walls, floors and ceilings so untreated junctions are not overlooked. We will explain whether a phased approach is suitable.
Insulation is not a repair for a leak, penetrating damp or another unresolved moisture problem. The cause must be investigated and addressed first. A suitable insulation design also considers condensation risk and ventilation; covering a damp wall is not the solution.
Expect some dust, noise and temporary loss of use of the rooms being worked on. Furniture and wall fittings may need moving, and finishes need time to dry before decorating. We explain access, protection, fitting changes and the expected programme in your quotation.
The agreed finishing work is listed in your quotation. The finish must be compatible with the selected insulation system. Do not assume painting, wallpapering, replacement skirting or moving radiators and sockets are included unless they are specified.
Yes, tell us about it when you enquire. Heat loss through a garage ceiling or a wall adjoining an unheated garage needs its own assessment. We can discuss the relevant areas together; ceiling insulation is a separate scope from internal wall insulation.
Reducing heat loss through treated walls can lower the energy needed for heating. Actual savings depend on your home, how much is insulated, your heating system, energy prices and how you use the rooms. We do not promise a fixed percentage saving or payback period.
We accept enquiries across Liverpool, Wirral, Chester, Merseyside and surrounding North West areas, including Ormskirk and Frodsham. Share your full postcode so the team can confirm survey availability.
The initial survey and quotation are free, with no obligation to proceed. If specialist investigations or design work are needed, we explain these separately before you decide. Sending an enquiry requests a call; it does not book an appointment.
