Start with the actual property

We use the address and certificate to identify the next questions. A city flat, a coastal home, a bungalow and a rural rental may have different construction, access and heating constraints. We do not assign a standard upgrade package from the postcode.

Plan the survey efficiently

For roof and insulation reviews, include access arrangements and any known leaks or condensation. For flats, check freeholder authority and access to common parts. For wall upgrades, record any exposure or damp concerns for the surveyor. If the home has heritage restrictions, check with the relevant council before deciding on alterations.

Coordinate with your maintenance programme

Tell the team about upcoming roof repairs, internal refurbishment or a vacant period. These can affect access costs and the order in which measures are assessed. An indicative opportunity becomes a recommendation only after the property and scope have been checked.

Installation coverage

Loft King’s initial operating focus is North West England. Availability depends on postcode, scope and the relevant installation team. We confirm serviceability during the review. EPC record lookup covers England and Wales; that does not imply every installation service is available nationwide.

Your local authority still matters

Planning, conservation and landlord licensing questions should be checked for the correct property and council. An EPC review does not replace those checks. Include the council or listing details with the team if there may be restrictions.

Location-specific guides will be added when there is useful local evidence and service information. We do not publish copied town pages or invented local case studies.
